Teacup Love

Be still my flower loving heart! This beyond, and I mean beyond gorgeous wedding is overflowing with the most romantic bloom displays a girl could ever ask for. I’m literally dying over the wooden box centerpieces adorned with pretty words like love and peace and faith. Oh, and wait til you see those vintage teacups filled with flowers and the super cute doily clad programs! Every detail is so sweet and romantic that it really doesn’t get any better than this.

Whimsical & Vintage

Dolly & Andrew are really just big kids! They wanted their wedding to not only have a whimsical feel, but also be a relaxed day. They paid homage to their childhoods by

to do a “treehouse” theme – lots of toys, fun games and a big tree to celebrate under! Thanks so much to Mark Brooke Photography for the lovely photos.

Fall into love....

Lora + Gary are from the U.K. but wanted to have their dream wedding here in the states.
Since they were planning from overseas, they knew selecting talented + trusting vendors was key to having the wedding of their dreams. Lora + Gary wanted their day to be a mix of Twilight meets Sleepy Hollow meets True Blood feeling for their wedding. What a fun + creative vision for their day! This wedding incorporated pumpkins, old world scripts, antiquated silvers, tons of candles, and eerily romantic quotes from the movies so the guests would really get the inspiration behind the whole event. I thought this one was perfect for some Fall wedding inspiration! Thanks to Brandon Kidd Photography for the always gorgeous photos!

The escort card table helped set the mood immediately for guests. Pumpkins of different shapes and sizes were used to display “scrolls” with guests’ name and the name of their table, which were named after the spooky towns that house the vampires and headless horsemen…Sleepy Hollow, Forks, and Bon Temps! Creepy black crows held up the banner over the escort card table that read “Bitten and Smitten.”

While searching the internet for unique Bridal Bouquets; because for other Brides out there like me- I refused to have the "EVERYDAY" wedding bouquet. While searching I found a very unique and one of a kind company called RBK Creations.

RBK Creations is a mother and daughter team located in the Dallas, TX area. Brenda (the mother) and Ariela (the daughter) have worked with brides all over the world to add a whimsical touch to their big day. The storefront on Etsy was launched in August 2008. Since the opening of the Etsy store, RBK Creations has worked with over 400 brides!

RBK offers a wide variety of bouquets, boutonnieres, décor and accessories for all types of brides. Brenda and Ariela can create something for everyone in the bridal party. Each piece can also be customized to the bride’s choice of colors. There are many varieties available including: buttons, felt, satin and organza. They have also worked with silks, cotton, chiffon and a wide range of other fabrics. They are always up for a challenge! If you have a non-traditional bouquet in mind, they can create something for you! (Some styles they have created: 8-bit, lego based and they have a Mario themed bouquet in the works)

Sweet Treats

Happy Monday everyone! We are starting the week off with this gorgeous “Old Hollywood Regency on the Farm” wedding from one of our readers, Ashley. Ashley + Kemble were married on her family’s farm in southwest Georgia. They had lots of help from family as Ashley’s father and Kemble built the ceremony backdrop that Ashley + Kemble designed, and Ashley’s sister designed all their paper goods and signage. Such a beautiful day! Big thanks to the lovely Simply Bloom Photography ladies for the gorgeous photos.

From Ashley, “Kemble and I have an appreciation for both the formal/fancy side and the relaxed, playful side of life. We thought the look of “old hollywood regency” on the farm would capture both sides. The wedding was on my family’s farm in southwest Georgia, which means a lot to both of us. I grew up playing there on the weekends, and Kemble would come down to visit with friends starting when we were in college. It is a place full of years worth of memories for us and for my family. Both of my parents and my grandparents grew up within a few miles of the farm.”

How sweet is their first look! Adore. This is why I recommend a first look – such an emotional moment…

My sister and Belle of Honor, Joni Lay of Chocolate Butterbean and Lay Baby Lay, did all the graphics and signage for our wedding. Everything she designed was a personal and delightful gem, and she helped inspire and secure the look and feel of our wedding. I don’t know what I would have done without her! Also, the backdrop of the wedding ceremony was designed by Kemble and me and hand-built by my dad and Kemble with materials from around the farm. The entrance doors were taken from the old house my great-grandparents lived in. Our wedding would not complete in our eyes without these personal touches.

What song did you walk down the aisle to? Postcards from Far Away, an instrumental piano song by Coldplay. It is a beautiful song, and the title is meaningful as Kemble and I dated while he lived in Palo Alto, California and I was in Birmingham, Alabama.
